Prep Time 5 minutes
Total Time 5 minutes
Servings: 8 mimosas
Course: Cocktail, Drinks
Cuisine: American

Ingredients

  • 3 cup frozen strawberries Ensure they are frozen solid for the best slushy consistency.
  • 2 tbsp sugar Adjust sweetness to your preference.
  • 1 bottle chilled champagne prosecco, brut, cava, or sparkling wine Any dry sparkling wine will work beautifully for topping.
  • 8 fruit Fresh whole strawberries For an elegant and festive presentation on the glass rim.

Equipment

  • Blender
  • Champagne Flutes

Method

  1. Place frozen strawberries, sugar, and 1 cup of the sparkling wine in a blender. Turn on high and blend for 1-2 minutes until smooth. If the mixture is too thick to blend, add 1/4 cup more sparkling wine.
  2. Fill each champagne flute halfway with the strawberry mixture. Fill the rest of the glass with the remaining chilled sparkling wine. Garnish each with a fresh strawberry, making a small slice down the middle (not all the way through) to allow it to sit neatly on the glass rim.

Notes

For a non-alcoholic version, substitute sparkling cider or sparkling grape juice for the champagne.
