Ingredients

  • 75 g kataifi finely chopped for a crispy texture
  • 40 g butter unsalted, for toasting the kataifi
  • 140 g pistachio paste pure, unsweetened pistachio paste for rich flavor
  • 600 g fresh strawberries washed, hulled, and cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 count extra large strawberries for garnish, choose firm and vibrant berries
  • 300 g Nutella melt gently until smooth and pourable

Equipment

  • Frying Pan
  • Microwave-safe Bowl
  • Serving Cups

Method

  1. Toast kataifi by melting butter in a pan and adding chopped kataifi until golden. Stir often and watch the color.
  2. Mix in pistachio paste until the kataifi feels evenly coated and fragrant. Set aside to cool.
  3. Prepare strawberries by washing, hulling, and cutting them to size. Dry them on a towel.
  4. Melt Nutella in a microwave in short bursts until glossy and pourable.
  5. Layer the cups with strawberries, kataifi mixture, and melted Nutella, pressing gently.
  6. Top with extra-large strawberry and some kataifi. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

This dessert is best served chilled. You can prepare the kataifi and pistachio mixture ahead of time and store it in an airtight container. For a different flavor, consider adding a hint of orange blossom water to the Nutella before melting.
