Method
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Rinse the turkey wings under cold water to clean them, then pat them thoroughly dry with paper towels. This step is crucial for crispy skin.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, dried thyme, dried rosemary, salt, and pepper. Mix well to form a paste.
- Add the dry turkey wings to the bowl with the seasoning mixture. Use your hands to ensure each wing is completely and evenly coated with the spices.
- Arrange the seasoned turkey wings in a single layer in a sturdy baking dish. Pour the chicken broth around the wings, ensuring it doesn't wash off the seasoning.
- Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour. This steams the wings, making them incredibly tender.
- After 1 hour, carefully remove the aluminum foil from the baking dish. Continue to bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the turkey wings are beautifully golden brown and very tender.
- Once baked, remove the turkey wings from the oven and let them rest in the baking dish for 5-10 minutes before serving. This allows the juices to redistribute, ensuring moist and flavorful meat.
- Garnish the baked turkey wings with freshly chopped parsley for a bright finish and serve immediately. Enjoy!
Notes
For an even crispier skin, you can broil the wings for the last 5-10 minutes after removing the foil, keeping a close eye on them to prevent burning. These wings pair wonderfully with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or a fresh green salad.
