- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 1 large egg
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 2 cups beef broth
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp Dijon mustard
- 2 lbs potatoes, peeled and chopped
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F. Mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, onion, garlic, egg, Worcestershire, salt, pepper, parsley, onion powder, and garlic powder.
- Shape into 1.5-inch meatballs and bake 20 minutes.
- Boil potatoes 15-20 minutes until tender; drain.
- Mash potatoes with garlic, butter, milk, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Whisk flour in a pan 1 minute; add broth gradually. Stir in soy sauce and Dijon; simmer until thick.
- Add meatballs to gravy and serve over garlic herb mashed potatoes.
Notes
Avoid overmixing meatball mixture to keep them tender. Add milk when reheating mashed potatoes to maintain creaminess.
