- 8 oz penne pasta
- 1 lb lean ground beef
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 medium onion, diced
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tsp Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 2 tsp olive oil
Instructions
- Cook 8 oz penne pasta in salted water according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and reserve 1 cup pasta water.
- Heat 2 tsp olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté diced onion and minced garlic for about 5 minutes.
- Add 1 lb ground beef and cook until browned, seasoning with salt, pepper, and 2 tsp Italian seasoning. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Lower heat and stir in 1 cup heavy cream. Add reserved pasta water gradually to reach desired sauce consistency. Mix in 1 cup grated Parmesan until melted.
- Add cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat evenly. Serve hot with extra Parmesan or parsley.
Notes
Reserve pasta water for perfect sauce consistency. Customize with chili flakes, veggies, or protein swaps for dietary needs.
