Make your breadcrumbs easily and affordably with this simple homemade recipe.

Bread – of course! Any type of bread can be used. Stale bread works especially well, but since we’re toasting this bread in the oven, fresh bread is fine too.

How to Make Breadcrumbs

Making breadcrumbs is incredibly easy with my method! Let me break it down for you:

  1. Cut the bread slices into small pieces.
  2. Spread them in an even layer and bake at 350°F for 10-11 minutes. They are ready when they are golden brown and crispy.
  3. This step is completely up to you, but it is strongly suggested. Once the breadcrumbs are still warm, put them in a bowl and mix them with your preferred seasonings. Once everything is mixed, adjust the seasoning according to your taste.
  4. Break the slices into small pieces in a big bowl until they become fine crumbs. Alternatively, you can put them in a food processor and blend until they become fine.
