Ingredients
  • 1 rack baby back ribs
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon liquid smoke flavoring
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoons salt
  • ½ teaspoons ground black pepper
  • ½ teaspoons garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoons onion powder
  • ½ teaspoons chili powder
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
Instructions
  1. Take off the membrane from the back of the ribs and pat them dry with a paper towel. Divide the rack into 4 pieces. Combine olive oil and liquid smoke in a small bowl, then massage it onto both sides of the ribs.

  2. Mix together brown sugar, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and chili powder in a bowl. Sprinkle the seasoning mix generously on both sides of the ribs. Allow the ribs to sit for 30 minutes to enhance the taste.

  3. Preheat an air fryer to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).

  4. Put the ribs in the air fryer basket with the bone-side facing down, ensuring that they do not touch each other. If needed, cook them in separate batches.

  5. Cook the ribs for 15 minutes. Turn the ribs over (meat-side down) and cook for another 10 minutes. Take the ribs out of the air fryer and apply 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce to the bone-side of the ribs. Put the basket back in the air fryer and cook for 5 minutes. Flip the ribs over, brush the meat-side with the remaining 1/2 cup of BBQ sauce, and cook for an additional 5 minutes or until you achieve the desired char.
