- 2 sticks of butter
- 3 tablespoons of minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon of Cajun seasoning
- 1 teaspoon of Old Bay seasoning
- 1 teaspoon of paprika
- 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 cup of heavy cream
- Dried parsley
- Black pepper to taste
- A splash of lemon juice
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients and cooking equipment, including a medium pot and measuring spoons.
- Melt the butter in the pot over medium heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes until soft and translucent.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the heavy cream and reduce heat to low-medium. Simmer gently for 1 minute.
- Stir in Cajun seasoning, Old Bay seasoning, paprika, and garlic powder. Simmer for 1-2 minutes to infuse the flavors.
- Add black pepper to taste, a splash of lemon juice, and dried parsley. Stir well.
- Let the sauce cool slightly before serving over seafood or as a dip.
Notes
Avoid overcooking garlic to prevent bitterness. Do not boil after adding cream to avoid curdling. Adjust seasoning to taste and use lemon to brighten flavors.
