Description
These succulent Garlic Butter Lobster Tails, basted in a rich garlic-herb butter and finished with a bright lemon zest, will transform your ordinary dinner into an extraordinary dining experience.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 fresh or thawed lobster tails (6–8 oz each)
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon lemon zest
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
- Paprika (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
- Using kitchen shears, cut through the top of each lobster shell lengthwise, stopping before the tail fin. Gently pull apart the shell to expose the meat.
- Lift the lobster meat from the shell, keeping it attached at the base, and rest it on top of the shell.
- In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over each lobster tail, reserving some for serving.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and reaches 140°F (60°C).
- Let rest for 3–5 minutes before serving to retain juiciness.
Notes
For best results, use firm, shiny lobster tails. Avoid overcooking to keep the meat tender. Serve with lemon-herb rice and a crisp Chardonnay.
