Description

These succulent Garlic Butter Lobster Tails, basted in a rich garlic-herb butter and finished with a bright lemon zest, will transform your ordinary dinner into an extraordinary dining experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 fresh or thawed lobster tails (68 oz each)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (plus extra for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Paprika (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil.
  2. Using kitchen shears, cut through the top of each lobster shell lengthwise, stopping before the tail fin. Gently pull apart the shell to expose the meat.
  3. Lift the lobster meat from the shell, keeping it attached at the base, and rest it on top of the shell.
  4. In a small bowl, mix melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper.
  5. Brush the garlic butter mixture generously over each lobster tail, reserving some for serving.
  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and reaches 140°F (60°C).
  7. Let rest for 3–5 minutes before serving to retain juiciness.

Notes

For best results, use firm, shiny lobster tails. Avoid overcooking to keep the meat tender. Serve with lemon-herb rice and a crisp Chardonnay.
