- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar, packed
- 4 large eggs, room temperature
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 8 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
- 1 cup heavy cream, heated
- 1 cup candy-coated chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with foil or parchment paper.
- Whisk melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla; mix until combined.
- Stir in cocoa powder, flour, and salt just until no streaks remain.
- Spread batter into the pan and bake 27–33 minutes until a toothpick comes out with moist crumbs.
- Cool brownies completely on a rack.
- Prepare ganache: pour hot cream over chopped chocolate and whisk until smooth.
- Pour ganache over cooled brownies and top with candy-coated chocolate chips.
- Chill 1–2 hours before slicing and serving.
Notes
For extra fudgy brownies, slightly underbake by 2 minutes. Make sure brownies are fully cooled before adding ganache.
