- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 can (20 oz) pineapple slices, drained
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- Chopped green onions (optional)
- Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Season chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Heat oil in an oven-safe skillet and sear chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden.
- Mix pineapple juice, brown sugar, and soy sauce until dissolved.
- Pour sauce over chicken, arrange pineapple slices on top, and bake 25–30 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F.
- Remove chicken; whisk cornstarch and water, add to pan juices, and cook until thickened. Pour over chicken and garnish.
Notes
Baste chicken halfway through baking for a richer glaze. Use fresh pineapple for a brighter, tangier flavor.
