Ingredients

  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 can (20 oz) pineapple slices, drained
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp water
  • Chopped green onions (optional)
  • Sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Season chicken with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat oil in an oven-safe skillet and sear chicken 3–4 minutes per side until golden.
  3. Mix pineapple juice, brown sugar, and soy sauce until dissolved.
  4. Pour sauce over chicken, arrange pineapple slices on top, and bake 25–30 minutes until chicken reaches 165°F.
  5. Remove chicken; whisk cornstarch and water, add to pan juices, and cook until thickened. Pour over chicken and garnish.

Notes

Baste chicken halfway through baking for a richer glaze. Use fresh pineapple for a brighter, tangier flavor.
