Description
These Greek Yogurt Bagels are a healthy, protein-packed alternative to traditional bagels. With just three ingredients and no yeast required, they’re soft, chewy, and ready in 35 minutes—perfect for busy mornings!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup self-rising flour (plus extra for dusting)
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1 large egg, beaten
- Optional toppings: Everything bagel seasoning, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, shredded cheese, or flaky sea salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, combine self-rising flour and Greek yogurt until a shaggy dough forms. Knead for 2–3 minutes on a floured surface until smooth.
- Divide dough into 4 equal portions. Roll each into an 8-inch rope and form into a circle, pinching the ends to seal.
- Place on the baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and sprinkle with desired toppings.
- Bake 22–25 minutes until golden brown. For extra crispiness, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end.
- Cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
For best texture, use cold Greek yogurt. Avoid overmixing the dough to prevent dense bagels. Store at room temperature for 2 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
