  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 bagels 1x

Description

These Greek Yogurt Bagels are a healthy, protein-packed alternative to traditional bagels. With just three ingredients and no yeast required, they’re soft, chewy, and ready in 35 minutes—perfect for busy mornings!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup self-rising flour (plus extra for dusting)
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • Optional toppings: Everything bagel seasoning, sesame seeds, poppy seeds, shredded cheese, or flaky sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine self-rising flour and Greek yogurt until a shaggy dough forms. Knead for 2–3 minutes on a floured surface until smooth.
  3. Divide dough into 4 equal portions. Roll each into an 8-inch rope and form into a circle, pinching the ends to seal.
  4. Place on the baking sheet, brush with beaten egg, and sprinkle with desired toppings.
  5. Bake 22–25 minutes until golden brown. For extra crispiness, broil for 1–2 minutes at the end.
  6. Cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

For best texture, use cold Greek yogurt. Avoid overmixing the dough to prevent dense bagels. Store at room temperature for 2 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
