Description
Creamy Garlic Butter Lobster Tails are a luxurious yet easy-to-make seafood dish. Tender lobster meat is broiled to perfection and drizzled with a velvety garlic butter cream sauce — perfect for special occasions or gourmet nights in.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 large lobster tails (5–8 oz each), preferably cold-water
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter, divided
- 3–4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: 1 tbsp white wine or seafood stock
Instructions
- Using kitchen shears, cut the top shell of each lobster tail lengthwise. Loosen the underside and lift the meat to rest on top of the shell. Pat meat dry.
- In a saucepan, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat. Sauté garlic for 1–2 minutes. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, lemon juice, salt, pepper, and optional wine or stock. Simmer 2–3 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Place lobster tails on a foil-lined tray, meat side up. Brush with sauce. Broil at 425°F (220°C) for 8–10 minutes. Baste once midway and broil an extra 1–2 minutes for golden finish.
- Remove from oven, drizzle remaining sauce over top, and garnish with parsley. Serve with lemon wedges.
Notes
Use a thermometer to check doneness — lobster is done at 145°F (63°C). Prepare sauce and tails ahead for quick finishing before serving.
