With layers of roast beef, Swiss cheese, and a rich au jus-inspired drizzle baked between buttery crescent rolls, this recipe delivers big flavor in just 30 minutes—perfect for parties, weeknight snacks, or game-day spreads.
Ingredients
- 2 cans refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1/2 pound deli-sliced roast beef
- 1 cup grated Swiss cheese
- 1 packet dry onion soup mix
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 cup beef broth (for dipping)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
- Roll out one can of crescent dough into the dish, pressing seams to seal.
- Layer roast beef evenly over the dough, then sprinkle Swiss cheese on top.
- In a bowl, whisk onion soup mix, melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Drizzle over the cheese.
- Unroll the second can of dough and place over the filling, sealing seams.
- Bake 15–20 minutes or until golden brown.
- Warm beef broth in a small pot for dipping.
- Cool slightly, then cut into squares.
- Serve warm with au jus for dipping.
Notes
For easier slicing, allow the baked squares to rest 5 minutes before cutting. A pizza cutter creates clean, even portions.
