Description
These Greek Chicken Tenders are tender, juicy, and packed with zesty lemon, garlic, and Mediterranean herbs for a quick, flavorful weeknight meal.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, whisk together olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, oregano, salt, pepper, and smoked paprika to create the marinade.
- Slice chicken breasts into tenders and coat them thoroughly in the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or up to 4 hours.
- Preheat grill to medium-high or oven to 400°F. If grilling, lightly oil the grates.
- Cook tenders for 6–7 minutes per side (or bake for 12–14 minutes) until internal temperature reaches 165°F.
- Let rest for 5 minutes before serving to lock in juices.
- Serve with tzatziki, salad, or wrap in pita for a delicious Mediterranean meal.
Notes
Do not over-marinate; lemon juice can make the chicken mushy. Always check internal temperature for safety. Rest cooked chicken before serving for maximum juiciness.
