- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 cups cooked white rice
- 1 can (10.5 oz) condensed French onion soup
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, melt 2 tbsp butter over medium heat and brown 1 lb ground beef for 5–7 minutes. Drain excess fat.
- Season with 1 tsp onion powder, 1 tsp garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- In a large bowl, combine cooked beef, 3 cups cooked rice, condensed French onion soup, and 1 cup sour cream. Mix well.
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Spread mixture evenly in the dish and sprinkle 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from oven, garnish with parsley if desired, and let rest 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
For variations, substitute turkey for beef, use brown rice, or swap sour cream with Greek yogurt. Great for meal prep and freezes well.
